Food Huggers
For the last 15 years, best friends Michelle Ivankovic and Adrienne McNicholas have loved brainstorming new business ideas, seeking out ways to make life a little easier. When they landed on the idea for Food Huggers, they knew they had found a simple answer to a problem people face everyday: food waste! Food Huggers was first launched through a Kickstarter campaign in 2013, and it took the world of sustainability by storm. Their concept was simple: create a silicone food storage device that locks in moisture to keep food fresh way longer. But their impact was huge: raising $184,000 from over 5,000 planet-loving people.
Since 2013, Food Huggers has grown immensely, yet they've kept their commitment to high quality ingredients, like their FDA food grade silicone. They use 100% recycled and recyclable packaging, and have a wide variety of shapes and sizes for any fruit, veggie, or even aluminum can lids!
