The average school in America will use close to 250,000 pieces of paper each year, with almost 4 billion trees cut down annually across the globe to support this industry. Onyx and Green is breaking this cycle of waste, not only with their unique paper products made from low-impact sugarcane and upcycled construction waste, but with an entire line of school and office supplies. From backpacks, to pens, to even rubber bands and calculators, they infuse creativity and sustainability into the designs of all their products. With consistency in their values and transparency in their production, materials, and values, Onyx and Green is helping to find new solutions in the office supply industry.

Question
Tami –
Can this glue be used for book binding? I was told to get pva glue, but want a non toxic vegan product.

Admin EarthHero –
Hi Tami! This glue is certainly intended for arts and crafts, but we’ve never tried it with bookbinding! If you decide to give it a go, just make sure to allow it to set properly and maybe consider adding some sort of weight to encourage the pages to adhere to the spine. Let us know if you try it out! 😀

Hi Marilyn! This is not a medical-grade adhesive, so we don’t recommend using it for that purpose. It is definitely intended more for activities like arts and crafts. 🙂

Does this glue contain any dairy/egg/wheat/peanut or soy? Is it safe for my child with severe allergies?

Admin EarthHero –
Hey there! We asked the manufacturer, and the main ingredient is corn starch–no eggs, peanut, soy, dairy or wheat. However, they recommend still using caution if your child has severe allergies, as they can not guarantee it is completely allergen free.

Hey Karl – we haven’t tried to make slime with this specific glue – but we assume that it should work just the same as traditional glues! If you try it and are unhappy with the outcome, just let us know and we’ll make it right 🙂
