Recycled Aluminum
Recycling scrap aluminum uses just 5% of the energy required to create virgin aluminum. When first-time aluminum is manufactured, the extraction, transportation, and processing required uses large amounts of energy, emits CO2, and degrades the natural environment due to deforestation and mining. Recycling aluminum not only reduces these harmful consequences, but also decreases the amount of aluminum taking up space in landfills. Best of all, aluminum maintains the same properties each time it is recycled, so it can be transformed into new materials indefinitely.
Recycled Plastic
Recycled plastic utilizes salvaged post-industrial plastic scraps and post-consumer products such as water bottles and other plastic containers, and transforms them into new products. The containers are sorted, crushed, and then heated to form resins, which are liquid plastics that can harden into new shapes. These resins can be molded and used to create anything from carpet to outdoor furniture. Recycling plastic lowers the amount of petroleum extracted and the production of greenhouse gasses associated with first-time plastic production. Plus, by using these existing materials, we’re benefiting from the original energy and resources spent to create them in the first place, while diverting waste from the landfill.
Repreve
Repreve is a certified brand of 100% post-consumer recycled PET fabric. Recycled PET utilizes salvaged post-consumer products such as water bottles and other plastic containers. These plastics are dried, crushed, and spun into yarn in order to create recycled PET fabric, or polyester. By providing a use for recycled plastics, companies encourage recycling programs worldwide, while adding new value to discarded items. Currently, over half of virgin PET production goes towards making textiles, so by utilizing recycled PET, post-consumer materials are both diverting waste while taking the place of raw materials. This helps to reduce the demand for the extraction of oil, as well as energy used to produce new synthetic fibers. Repreve has saved over 4 billion water bottles from entering the landfill since 2009.

I absolutely love this. Holds my small Yeti & ID card (in outside pocket). Strap is perfect length and I love that I can stash my reusable straw in the long pocket. Great for hiking with my dog, since it keeps my hands free. Wish I found this sooner!

Question
Patricia Holbert –
Does it keep your water bottle cold? And for how long ?

EarthHero –
Hi Patricia, this water bottle sling is not insulated. However, it’s a nifty way to keep your water bottle nearby but hands-free!

This is great for those shorter walks where all I need is my water, keys, and phone. I love that it fits multiple sizes of water bottles. I have lots of reusable water bottles all with different ounce capacities and no issues there. My mom borrowed it and liked it so much I’m getting her one as well!
Gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because the strap is very long and not adjustable (unless you tie a hair tie around it or something). Also because the little pocket is not big enough for today’s phones.

Bought these so I, Mom, wouldn’t be stuck carrying all the water on our walks, hikes, etc. Now everyone can carry their own water. Plus, I love the pocket for a phone, snacks, ID, mask, etc. Bonus points for being packable and able to easily stashed in my purse or any bag, on my belt, etc.

I’ve been using it to go everywhere. Very light, convenient. Works for water bottle/container, but also large enough to add keys or other trinkets. The little pocket in the front gives extra storage. I love that it’s fully made of recyclable material. A great buy that feels good and is very useful.

Main pocket for water bottle is so deep that a really large bottle can fit, then the small pocket has a carabiner for my keys and enough room for my iPhone 6. There’s a little pocket for my small chapstick on one side of the strap, and a longer pocket on the other side of the strap that could fit a pen, or the temple of my sunglasses.

Seems to be well made. Has a nice little pocket that works for my phone.
It could use an adjustable strap as it is to long I. Me to use on a walk.
I do use it in my food truck to hang my water bottle.

These days I mostly keep my wallet and phone in a fanny pack, so when I need to bring a water bottle with me, I was just carrying it in my and or having to add a backpack into the mix. This sling allows me to just use my fanny pack and no backpack, but still have hands free. And the extra little pocket is useful too.

Really happy about being able to find something to keep my big bottle of water close and convenient. I was worried it would be too small but it stretches!

Would these fit a wide mouth hydroflask?

EarthHero –
Hey Katrina,
This bottle sling should fit bottles up to 64oz sizes, so if your Hydroflask is 64oz or smaller, you should be good to go!

Yet another well-designed and well-made product that I take with me everywhere! It’s stretchy side panels accommodate both slender and wider water bottles and insulated coffee mugs. It allows a free hand and easy access to liquid whether on a walk, at yoga, camping, running errands around town or at work. Fun that it can be folded into it’s own pocket to form a small case…although I’ll rarely need to use that feature :o)! While the clip inside the pocket will keep keys secure, I may sew a small piece of velcro on the pocket to keep it closed and make it more secure for holding wallet or other valuables. Still have to give it a 5-star!
My only real complaint is that when I realized what a great product it was and went back to order more to give to my outdoor and college student friends, they were sold out!
