Wool
Wool is a natural and renewable resource that can be harvested annually from sheep. Sheep are relatively low impact animals, but can overgraze land if not raised properly. Wool production can also be insecticide and water intensive, but the finished yarn is absorbent and requires little dye during processing. Untreated wool is biodegradable.
Safe and Fair Labor
We support safe and fair labor practices when producing sustainable products. This company cares for their workers by fostering a safe work environment and providing their employees with fair wage.
Handmade
We support small businesses and craftspeople who create each of their products with care. Handmade products are generally produced on a small scale, without the use of large energy consuming factories and production facilities. Buying handmade helps support art, communities, and people’s livelihoods.
Hemp
This high-yield crop grows quickly and usually doesn’t rely on harsh pesticides and fertilizers, making it a dependable renewable resource. The cannabis plant produces more fiber per acre than common textile crops like cotton and flax, and actually adds nutrients to the soil instead of depleting them! Hemp is strong, breathable, and moisture wicking, and it requires minimal dye during fabric production due to its high absorbency qualities.
Engage your cat without leaving the couch with the Eco Kitty Catcher Cat Toy by Honest Pet Products! Sustainable hemp twine attaches the 12" bamboo pole to a light and bouncy wool "worm" which your cat will love batting and mouthing. Due to the handmade nature of this product, colors may vary!

Granted our cats may be a bit harder or toys that others, have two younger cats who like to play a lot! They loved this toy and we kept it up from them when we weren’t around, although they did pull the toy off the end and the bell. The felt portion is great though! LOVE this brand!

My kitties love this toy! I think that the wool is thick enough for them to bite into and get satisfaction. They untied the string after a week, but I just tied it back together. They like the bell noise enough that they are even playing with it by themselves when I am not on the other end.

My 5 month old kitten Peter ‘inherited’ this toy from his older sister, Pip. On the string, it had been her favorite toy for a long time. I took the ‘worm’ off the string for Peter, who carries it around with him and fetches it like a dog. He has managed to loosen the wool up a bit, and I take off the looser bits so he doesn’t eat them. He tends to spit them out when he gets some off. Great, great toy. Cats love the smell of wool. Highly recommend.

Boxtop’s (the cat’s) review: This is the best toy I have had the pleasure to work with yet. I am 50% in love with the worm, and 50% determined to destroy him. I was able to break the string off but my dad just tied it back around the head and it is even better now. I love how he flops around and the wool feels so good to claw into, bite, and then groom. I have tried my best to shred the worm and while he is definitely fraying it will take me years to pull apart the lovely felted wool. This is the only toy I will play with alone if I find it laying on the floor. I am happily occupied for 1/2 hour even if nobody is with us. If somebody is dragging it and flipping it around the room I will play for hours which is quite new for me as I am a pretty new to playing. I destroyed the last two toys I had within a month each so I very much appreciate the durability of the wool. Thank you to the dear creators of this toy, I hope you will create more creatures.
