-This product doesn’t smell. It doesn’t leak. Dog eats bark which is a choking hazard.
-Initially i planned to leave this in our bathroom since its supposed to last a month. I figured it would fragrant any room. We’ve had it for weeks in our bedroom and haven’t smelled a thing. We haven’t been taking our baby outside much since it’s been cold so we figured this was the closest thing.
-The problem is, my mini 4 month old mini dachsund pulls the bark out. So now it’s hidden from her in the bathroom tub. I have to place her on top of it then take her right out of the tub. Maybe the company should make a mesh with much smaller squares. Also, the plastic mesh is not good for the environment. Can you start making compostable mesh with smaller squares??

Question
Theresa –
Can you order replacement wood chips when they need to be replaced or do you just go buy them at a local store?

EarthHero –
Hi Theresa! In order to have the Bark Potty work as well as intended, when the Potty is too soiled to use (typically 3-4 weeks when used twice a day), you’ll want to purchase a new Bark Potty Pad. This ensures you have the correct items – fresh bark chips, tray and netting, and outer box for easy transport!

Question
Kaitlyn Pelletier –
If you removed the plastic liner, would these be compostable?

EarthHero –
Hi Kaitlyn! This potty pad has a plastic (recyclable) net atop the chips to keep them contained during use. Disposal depends on what you have available in your area. That being said, we suggest cutting the netting and dumping the bark into a green bin / yard waste collection, if available. The rest of the unit can be recycled. If your compost facility accepts pet waste, you could place the bark chips in the compost bin safely!

Question
tessa3du –
Generally how often do these need to be replaced?

Quin Girardin –
Hi there! The need for this pad to be replaced will depend on its usage. A good rule of thumb is if your doggo uses it 1-2 times per day, this will likely last anywhere from 3-4 weeks. I hope this helps!
