Whether you’re finishing up your yoga class or cozying up by the fire, your feet will thank you for slipping on Kyrgies wool felt slippers. Handmade using centuries-old felting techniques, you can feel the craftsmanship in the felted wool and leather suede sole. They’re durable and moisture-wicking so your slippers never smell like feet! Plus, Kyrgies uses low-impact dyes and the leather is tanned without chrome or chromium, so you never have to worry about pesky chemicals lurking in your shoes. If between sizes, we recommend sizing up!

Kyrgies

Have you ever thought about where your footwear comes from? How the materials were made and the people behind the label who work to construct the shoes? The guys at Kyrgies certainly have. From field to foot, the founders of Kyrgies have sustainability and direct community impact built into everything they do. Steve Anderson and Barclay Saul don't only talk the talk when it comes to transparency in the supply chain, they walk the walk - literally! Their ethical slipper collection starts with a tradition that is over 1,000 years old - Kyrgyz felting. The slippers are produced in Bishkek, Kyrgystan, where wet felting with local sheep's wool has been a staple craft for centuries. Workers and families pass this skill on from one generation to the next and these slippers are one way they celebrate wool and preserve cultural heritage.

perfect work gear for computer workers!

I love these slippers! They still look like new even though I wear them ALL the time. I ordered my normal size and wear them barefoot and find them to be perfect! They do wear differently from shoes in that there is more room for air to circulate inside. That way, my feet stay warm but not too warm. They are not scratchy on my feet and I can walk normally without dragging like some slippers. It feels so good to be wearing natural materials made by hand!! Highly recommend!

Feel good purchase

I love that these are from Kyrgyzstan, providing environmentally sustainable employment for local workers. And I love how warm they are. They are shorter and wider than US sizing. I am a woman size 8 normally, but my toes touch the tip of the 8.5/9 slippers, and socks are needed to keep them on my feet due to the width. That said they are comfy, warm, and authentic. Just size up and choose another slipper if you have narrow feet.

So warm and comfy!

I bought these as I always have cold feet. They're nice and toasty! Definitely size up. I'm normally a 9 - 9.5 women's and I got the 9.5-10 size... they're snug but fit perfectly!

Comfy, but size up

I was excited to try these because they check a lot of boxes for things I wanted in a new pair of slippers. I typically wear a women's 8.5, but have a long narrow foot so sometimes 9 is more appropriate. I ordered the women's 8.5-9/men's 6.5-7, which was stamped with euro 39.

My toes were at the end so I ordered the next size up but kept the original pair (giving to a friend with smaller feet). There's barely a difference in size between the 39s and 40s. Holding them next to each other, they look nearly identical.

My toes also touched the end of that pair, but I decided to keep them and see if they stretch. I have been wearing them pretty consistently through the day while at my work from home standing desk. I don't notice my toes touching the ends as much so I think they are stretching/breaking in.

These aren't plush, cushioned slippers and they don't have a lot of support so I would recommend something else if that's what you want. However, if you want warm slippers that don't make your feet sweat, these are a good option. I also like that the suede sole is not loud on floors like some other slipper soles (and isn't slippery so far).

Comfy & Cozy

I am buying my husband a pair soon! My feet will never be cold again! Only thing I wish was different was that the sole of the shoes was a bit more resistant to wear but it just motivates me to care for them more intently.
