Looks good in the bathroom, drip tray catches any liquid, and this is a solid product that does what it says it will. Very pleased with my purchase!

I have the brush and the stand, and it’s one of the best purchases I’ve made from Earth Hero to date! It looks great, it works just like any other toilet brush, and is obviously much more eco friendly! It IS a bit soft, as another reviewer had mention, so if you don’t clean the toilet often, you’re going to have to use some elbow grease. I would highly, highly recommend this.

I really love the toilet brush. It works very well, but the holder is really nice, keeps it aerated, and looks really beautiful. I’ve never had a toilet brush spark joy until this one!

First thing’s first, the toilet brush and stand are so aesthetically pleasing. The brush did a great job cleaning my toilet, but it did have a strange smell after. I am going to try and soak it in vinegar to get it out.

Aesthetically this brush is perfect, if there is such a thing for a toilet brush. However, I do find the bristles to be on the soft side, so it is harder to clean some build up I have. Definitely a form over function purchase, but worth it.

I originally purchased just the brush because the stand felt a bit steep and I already had a big cup that I had been using for my past toilet bowl brush. The brush got mold on it pretty quickly. I have since bought the brush and stand. It looks nice and I am hoping won’t mold

EarthHero –
Hi Meghan! Thank you for your review! Mold can sometimes feel inevitable when you combine a moist environment with natural materials like wood and plant-based bristles. However! A tip that we love to use to help prevent mold is a semi-regular vinegar cleanse of the toilet brush. Simply dilute distilled vinegar with some water and allow your brush to soak for 2-3 minutes. This should inhibit the growth of mold and extend the life of the brush. 🙂

This toilet brush is actually cute, I’m not embarrassed to have it out in my bathroom. The stand is super handy and the brush is easy to use. I feel so happy to use this instead of a plastic one. Very satisfied with this purchase.

Question
Jackie –
How long is this brush? The specifications say 9.75″ but that doesn’t make sense for a toilet brush. Is that the length of the stand? Thanks.

Hi Jackie! The toilet brush itself is ~13.5 inches long!

I needed to replace a plastic toilet brush that was falling apart and am so happy to have found this well-made, plastic-free option. I bought the brush + stand. The brush is light but solid, and I like that the handle doesn’t feel flimsy when I’m scrubbing (unlike plastic brushes). The bristles are the right balance of stiff and yet soft. The stand is low profile and not as noticeable as I feared that a “naked” toilet brush might look in the bathroom. Planning to buy this again when the other plastic toilet brushes in my house need replacing.

Question
Christina –
Is this compostable in your backyard or do you need to send into a facility.
(0) (0) Watch Unwatch
EarthHero (verified owner) –
Hi, Christina! This brush and stand is home compostable but it will take longer to compost than if it were in a commercial facility! If you are composting for edible plants, we recommend placing the brush in a separate pile for nonedible compost.

I am very happy to finally have a plastic free toilet brush.. It performs great and gets the job done. I did not purchase the stand as i am re-using the caddy that I have:)

I love this. I use it with a powder cleaner in my toilet and it works just as well as any plastic brush. I tap it on the side to get it as dry as possible before placing back in the holder.

I really like having a plastic free toilet brush, but it is difficult to clean and I feel as if it doesn’t last as long as a plastic brush does. The bristles also fall off frequently when cleaning, and I am not sure if that negatively impacts our septic system. I will continue to buy, but that’s my only complaint.

I purchased the toilet brush and stand. The whole set look really pretty in my bathroom. Unfortunately, the ceramic part of the stand came broken. I wanted to love it but sadly it came in pieces. I contacted the support and still waiting for their reply.
Edit: Finally received the ceramic part replacement today and tested it. So far, the handle feels a lot lighter to use compared to my old plastic brush. I was honestly expecting it to be heavier. The wood have a certain smell to it at first use. Overall, I like it and I really love how the support team was on top of their game! I would definitely repurchase the brushes and another stand if we move to a bigger house that has 2 bathroom.

I never thought I would consider a toilet brush pretty, but this one fits the bill! It looks great in my bathroom. It does a good job of scrubbing the toilet, and I love that the stand lets the brush dry nicely, so it doesn’t get nasty.

I have had no issues with this and it actually cleaned up quite the mess in my toilet. I though I’d save money by not buying the stand that goes with it, so I’ve been keeping it in a jar by the toilet.

I only bought the toilet brush, as I didn’t need the stand. It is extremely well-made and does a great job. I am very happy with it. ***Several months after buying the brush, I went back and bought the stand too with another brush as a back-up for whenever the first brush wears out. I have arthritis in my back so I have to keep the brush up on the counter where I can reach it easily. The brush looks sooo much better in that cute stand. It is extremely well-made and definitely worth the money.

I like how this handcrafted toilet brush looks, it stands well in its stand, and there is a ceramic dish to catch water. Though, the first thing I did when it arrived was to soak it in oil, because this wood stand and brush will be around a lot of water. It cleans the toilet effectively, I use my own combination of white vinegar, tea tree oil and baking soda to clean my toilet.

Simple and well made. The bristles are stiff to help scrub. Long handle. This is natural and oddly …beautiful.

Is formaldehyde used on this like bamboo? Or will it rot like bamboo?

Great question! This item is made of untreated beechwood, so there are no toxic presevatives used on it. It is compostable at the end of its life! 🙂

This is awesome! I don’t feel the need to hide it away and it gets the job done. I low key want the plastic brush to break in my other bathroom so I can replace it with one of these too.
