Question
tiffany –
How are these 100% recyclable if they’re half made out of plastic? Do you need to pull out the plastic threads to be able to recycle the copper?
(0) (0) Watch Unwatch
EarthHero –
Hi Tiffany! Many scrap metal recyclers will accept items made of at least 50% metal (like these scouring pads) for collection. We recommend checking with local scrap metal recyclers to see what their specific requirements may be to ensure it is taken care of correctly!

Works well and a nice compliment to the dish brush for getting into the crevices for which the brush may not always be the best option. I like both products and together they are all I need for hand dishwashing cookware.

This copper cloth makes cleaning easier and faster and doesn’t leave rusty marks like steel wool. And they can be washed in a laundry bag or sock when it needs it!

Just got this a couple weeks ago, and so far it’s been great for cleaning our stainless sink and pans– especially our broiler pa.n

It’s rather nice and a decent alternative to normal metal pot scrubbers. It does get dingy kinda fast though.

I use this copper cloth on my cast iron and pots and pans and it works great! It has been six months now and it’s still going strong! I felt this was a great product especially for the price. I was not disappointed.

I’m not sure where these 5-star reviews are coming from, but these copper cloths don’t work as well as the purely copper scrubbers. It takes much more effort to scrub off stains, so I often end up using a scrub brush instead.

These do a great job scrubbing up tough messes. Pots, pans, kitchen sink. They helped me restore our cast iron skillets to usable condition. I thought we were going to have to get them professionally re-seasoned, but after scrubbing with these and doing some oil and heat, they are working great. Next I’m going to scrub out our oven!

This is a very practical scrubber! Good for scrubbing pots and pans clean. It even worked to scrub off some candle wax from a candle holder I was having a hard time cleaning.

If you are thinking about buying these, just do it! As someone who has used cast iron since she was a kid, I have tried a lot of different scrubbers over the years. These work so well! I had a nasty looking skillet to clean the other day (cooked on pieces of onion, garlic, and sausage) and this bad boy cleaned the burnt bits off quick and easy. And they are washable!

These hold up much better than expected. I wanted something with the scrubbing power of copper without being a thick pad where food can get trapped.

I bought these an an eco-friendly alternative to brillo pads. I love that they are flexible but still strong enough to handle grease and grime, especially on cast iron pans! This is my first Redecker product purchase and will be a repeat customer!

I am pleased with how well these scrub my cast iron and other pans. Only had about 3 weeks but still sturdy. Wish they had a biodegradable option

I love using this for my cast iron skillet. The green byproduct from the copper is an inevitable downside, though.

Question
rwaldemar –
Does the polypropylene yarn biodegrade? or is it a type of plastic? I don’t know what that is.
(0) (0) Watch Unwatch
EarthHero –
Hi there! Polypropylene yarn is a plastic thread and will not biodegrade. We love the aid it gives to these copper scrubbers to boost their cleaning abilities!

I kind of expected these to be a bit more rough and scratchy, so they don’t scrape away stuck food as well as I expected. But a little more elbow grease does the trick. Hopefully they last a long time!

Enjoy the soft bendability of the cloth while also having the good scrubbing power of the interweaved copper fibers. Definitely recommend for kitchen use.

Question
Melisa –
Hi! How long do these last for?
(0) (0) Watch Unwatch
EarthHero –
Hi, Melisa! We love these scouring pads for tackling daily tough messes. While their exact length of use is determined by how much you use them and what you’re using them for, we love the copper threads for their durability and strength! If you feel the pads are getting a bit worse for wear, you can always machine wash them in warm water, placing the cloths in a cloth bag or a sock before washing. When they’re completely worn out, they are 100% recyclable 🙂

These are a must-have for me now. I use them on my ceramic pots and pans and to get burned on food off of the stove top. Just don’t use it with a vinegar based cleaner like I did or they will turn green (oops).

These work so well. It’s the perfect balance of fabric and metal. Soft enough to fold and retain some moisture, but hard enough to grind and clean everything off cookware and dishes. Love!
