When you're exploring the world wide web, you need a mouse that can keep up. That's why Onyx and Green's Bamboo Wireless Mouse is made from bamboo–a sustainably harvested material that's stronger than steel, and can take as much pressure as concrete. This handmade wireless bamboo computer mouse features 2.4 GHZ wireless technology, is compatible with Windows 2000/98/XP/ME/VISTA/WIN7/WIN8, and features a small USB nano reciever. Plus, it comes packed in recycled and recyclable cardboard with a biodegradable bioplastic shell
Recycled Plastic
Recycling is the process of taking an otherwise-discarded item or material and cleaning, sorting, and breaking it down into its basic form (such as fibers or pellets). This material is then used to produce new items. Recycling keeps useful materials from being discarded in landfills, prevents resource extraction due to the creation of new materials, and provides a new life for used items. Recycling can utilize both pre-consumer waste (materials left over from production) or post-consumer materials (used clothing, empty water bottles, etc). Recycled plastic utilizes salvaged post-industrial plastic scraps and post-consumer products such as water bottles and other plastic containers, and transforms them into new products. The containers are sorted, crushed, and then heated to form resins, which are liquid plastics that can harden into new shapes. These resins can be molded and used to create anything from carpet to outdoor furniture. Recycling plastic lowers the amount of petroleum extracted and the production of greenhouse gasses associated with first-time plastic production. Plus, by using these existing materials, we're benefiting from the original energy and resources spent to create them in the first place, while diverting waste from the landfill.

Favorite mouse!

I absolutely love this bamboo mouse. Not only is it environmentally friendly, but it is aesthetically pleasing as well! It works amazingly and is easy to connect. When I first purchased, I used batteries that I did not know were almost out of juice. I thought the mouse was not working properly because it kept disconnecting. I contacted EarthHero and they were ready to help. Attentive and willing to make sure the issue was remedied. I found out that it was just user error lol. I replaced the batteries with rechargeable ones and now the mouse works perfectly! It’s been running smoothly for two weeks without a recharge (I’ve only had the mouse for about 3 weeks). Highly recommend!

So far so good!

I've only been using the mouse fr a few days, but so far I like it! The back plate that covers the batteries is a bit loose, but I've not run into any problems otherwise.

Only lasted 1-2 years

I really liked this mouse while I had it, but the mouse wheel lost its grip and now doesn't work. I've tried repairing and cleaning it, but nada. Mouse still works as a mouse, however I am now questioning the longevity of the product. I want something thatll last a long time so I produce less waste in the long run.

Happy with bamboo mouse. Works great!

Works well on mouse pad. I use 12 by 12 inches cork square instead of regular mouse pad. Will not work on paper only. Has a nice feel compared to main stream plastic mouse. I also like the built in auto shut off (sleeping mode). Don't have to worry about remembering to turn off the batteries. It's great it's made from sustainable material, I didn't want to invest in another plastic mouse. Very reasonably priced too. Would recommend.

meets expectations; wish it was rechargeable

Using this mouse is more comfortable than hovering over a trackpad all day. I got a lot of use out of this and it's still on the original battery and feeling and functioning well. I take the battery out when not in use for long periods of time even though it's supposed to automatically shut off when not in use. The optics do not work well on paper but I haven't had a problem using this with any other surface (wood table, mouse pad, lap, etc). For the sake of the environment, I wish this was rechargeable. I will try using with rechargeable batteries next.
