Question
Susan –
Do you have to use the bags in this composter?

Hey Susan – that’s totally up to you! Bags make changing out the compost bin easier, but they aren’t necessary as the stainless steel is super easy to clean 🙂 If you do choose to use bags, we have some available here.

5 out of 5 Smell free and looks great in my kitchen!
Rebecca –
Honestly was a little nervous to start collecting food scraps in my kitchen, but this bin works perfectly! I use little compost bags to make clean up easier, and the charcoal filter keeps the smells IN the bin.

Julianna –
How long do you leave the bag in before it degrades?
(0) (0)
EarthHero (verified owner) –
Hey Julianna,
From our experience, we recommend changing the bag once/week! Technically, it can last two weeks or more before degrading, but in hot weather or with wet food scraps, changing weekly will ensure your bag doesn’t degrade until it’s in the compost bin. Hope that helps!
