Family Business

This product is made by a family-owned business. EarthHero loves to support and empower businesses built around strong family values.

The OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 is a global independent certification system that regulates the use of harmful chemicals for yarns, fabrics, and finished textiles. Products with this certification meet rigorous environmentally friendly standards, as well as human-ecological health standards. OEKO-TEX® also creates standards based on the item’s proximity and sensitivity of the skin. For example, OEKO-TEX® holds baby clothing to a higher standard than an outer coat. For a product to earn this certification, all parts of the product must meet the criteria, including parts of clothing such as buttons, linings, threads, etc.

Low Impact Dyes

Companies can adopt multiple practices to dye their textiles and products in a more environmentally safe way. Low impact dyes usually do not contain toxins such as heavy metals, plasticizers, fluorocarbons, and formaldehyde. Sustainable dyes can also be water or plant based, or use less water than conventional dyeing methods.

Linen is made from the flax plant, a versatile crop that grows with minimal water and usually does not require fertilizers to grow. Generally, the entire flax plant is harvested and utilized, and the fibers used to create fabric run the length of the stem. These long fibers create a super durable fabric, and result in little to no waste in harvesting! Creating linen usually involves mechanical pulling and retting to soften and release the fibers from the stems. These fibers can then be woven into fabric without using chemical processes.

Treat your favorite home chef to the very best with the Thick Stonewashed Natural Linen Apron from LinenCasa! Made from 100% natural stonewashed linen from flax plants, this durable apron is naturally anti-bacterial, lint-free, and is more absorbent (but dries faster) than traditional cotton aprons. Plus, it's stonewashed (aka pre-washed with pumice stones), which means it's machine washable for easy post-meal clean-ups, won't shrink, and never needs to be ironed. It also features 2 pockets in tRead Morehe front for holding the necessities, and criss cross adjustable straps. Get cooking with this do-everything apron!

About the Company

LinenCasa’s husband and wife duo, Tanya and Marco, have created a business based off of the traditions and materials they love. Linen fabrics are naturally soft, so they don’t require fabric softeners or harmful chemicals during production, unlike cotton textiles. Their linens are reusable and absorbent, cutting down on the need for single use paper towels and cleaning wipes. Plus, linen’s naturally antibacterial, so it resists mold and mildew smells, even when used long term!

EarthHero loves LinenCasa for their durable, plant-based linens crafted from locally-grown flax plants in Belarus. With Oeko-Tex® Standard 100 certified products, LinenCasa’s bedding, towels, blankets and more are sustainably stylish and useful.

Hi RB, LinenCasa does not currently manufacture the larger size, so we cannot restock it. For an apron that can be adjusted to fit different sizes, we love this option!
