Hemp
This high-yield crop grows quickly and usually doesn’t rely on harsh pesticides and fertilizers, making it a dependable renewable resource. The cannabis plant produces more fiber per acre than common textile crops like cotton and flax, and actually adds nutrients to the soil instead of depleting them! Hemp is strong, breathable, and moisture wicking, and it requires minimal dye during fabric production due to its high absorbency qualities.
Organic Cotton
Organic cotton production uses zero chemical pesticides and fertilizers, promoting a healthier use of land and decreasing harmful agricultural runoff. By steering clear of toxic chemicals, workers experience less exposure to hazardous conditions, promoting social responsibility as well as environmental stewardship. Plus, farming methods for organic cotton have been shown to use up to 20% less water than nonorganic production methods. Choosing organic cotton eliminates the use of insecticides and other harmful chemicals, promotes efficient resource use, and results in a safer products and a cleaner planet!
Swap your single-use coffee filter for a sustainable alternative with the Cone Reusable Coffee Filter from Khala Cloths! Made from an eco-friendly blend of organic hemp and cotton cloth, this reusable coffee filter is a substitute for single-use paper filters and plastic coffee K-Cups. Handmade in Boulder, CO, this reusable filter is durable and washable, and will last about a year with proper care.

These filters have worked well for me so far. No issues and it feels great to not be using paper filters.

I like these and they are a great alternative to disposable filters. No weird taste and very easy to use. The only downside is that they are a little difficult to clean. Coffee gets stuck in it and can be a pain to get off.

Question
cassy –
Is there a larger size? Based on the reviews, these will not work for many machines.

Quin –
Hi there Cassy, thanks for reaching out with the question! This specific coffee filter, unfortunately, does not come in a larger size. Something we would suggest is the Drip #4 Reusable Coffee Filter I hope this helps!

I use this filter inside the metal one on my Chemex. Good for one or two cups of strong coffee, easy to clean, and holds the grounds well. I bought two.

I have had a hard time finding a coffee filter that worked well without the oils “clogging” it too quickly. After the first week of use of these, I am so happy! I bought my pour over second hand, so I’m not sure what number size it is, but even though the filter is slightly smaller than the basket, I’m just careful not to overfill it.

I agree with many of the reviews below. This is a great alternative to disposable cone coffee filters, but it shrinks and holds only enough coffee for 4-6 cups; not the 8-12 it claims. So I use it when I make less coffee. Easy to use, easy to clean. I hope they make a larger size in the future.

These seem well made, but they aren’t for anyone who needs a size 4 cone. They are a bit smaller already and then shrink after rinsing and using. Since they’re cotton, and I’m the only one in my house who drinks coffee, I’m going to try to stretch them a tiny bit so there’s no risk of overflow. For reference, I make a 4 “cup” pot with about 35 grams of coffee and it’s a slower drip pot but still almost overflowed.

We use these in our Motif coffee maker and they work great! We had other filters that were slightly too big and the edges would fall into the grounds, but these do not have that problem. It’s great to be able to wash one while the other is in use and give them time to dry out in between uses. They’re easy to clean, too. Overall, love them.

These cloth filters work well and are easy to use, except they do shrink upon use,
so a larger size would be ideal for size 4 cone use! We like a BIG cup, grounds free!

these are made of a sturdy material and they work well. Having two is great for swapping every other day while the other is washed and dried.

Question
Amy Burger –
Do these have the same benefits of paper filters regarding the filtering of diterpenes?

EarthHero –
Hi, Amy! Paper filters are the only filter that removes diterpenes, but we love these reusable options as an eco-friendly alternative!

When I received them I felt a little silly – I probably could have made this at home since it’s just two pieces of fabric with two serged edges on it but they do work great. After each use i rinse the filter, wring out excess water then allow to dry upside down on top of my pour over like a little wizard hat.

I used this for yesterday morning’s coffee and it worked well and I was delighted. It rinsed out well and instead of white is a little coffee stained but I will clean it like the instructions say to every week or so and go from there. I really do not care if it’s completely white, just that I am doing something good for the earth.

We love these! The only reasons I didn’t Give full stars is because they don’t clean as well as the directions say and the post wasn’t super clear two came in the purchase so I bought two (pairs) and I really only needed the one.
