Plastic Bank Partner

This brand works with Plastic Bank to measure, reduce, and offset their plastic usage by funding recycling and ocean cleanup efforts in underdeveloped communities around the world. This means that in addition to helping clean up our oceans, they’re also investing in recycling infrastructure in developing nations. A brand’s partnership with Plastic Bank involves offsetting various amounts of their plastic usage, from partial, to full (plastic neutral) or even offsetting more plastic than they produce (plastic negative).

B Corp

The B Lab is a third-party, non-profit organization that certifies companies as socially and environmentally responsible. B Corps are businesses that go above and beyond traditional business models and aim to create positive change in the world through their practices. These companies must meet rigorous transparency and accountablity standards, while doing what is best for people and the environment.

Sustainable Lifestyle

This product helps promote a more sustainable lifestyle. Whether it encourages re-use and the movement away from disposable products, or it promotes sustainable actions like recycling and composting, this product can help you lower your environmental footprint.

Bamboo

As a member of the grass family, bamboo is one of the fastest growing plants on earth. It requires no irrigation, pesticides or fertilizers to grow, and can be harvested within 3-5 years, as compared to approximately 30+ years for traditional hardwoods. Bamboo is extremely adaptable and produces more oxygen per acre than large tree species, while using a fraction of the water to grow. Its durable and lightweight qualities make bamboo a great alternative for hard wood products!

Recycled Aluminum

Recycling scrap aluminum uses just 5% of the energy required to create virgin aluminum. When first-time aluminum is manufactured, the extraction, transportation, and processing required uses large amounts of energy, emits CO2, and degrades the natural environment due to deforestation and mining. Recycling aluminum not only reduces these harmful consequences, but also decreases the amount of aluminum taking up space in landfills. Best of all, aluminum maintains the same properties each time it is recycled, so it can be transformed into new materials indefinitely.

Recycled Plastic

Recycled plastic utilizes salvaged post-industrial plastic scraps and post-consumer products such as water bottles and other plastic containers, and transforms them into new products. The containers are sorted, crushed, and then heated to form resins, which are liquid plastics that can harden into new shapes. These resins can be molded and used to create anything from carpet to outdoor furniture. Recycling plastic lowers the amount of petroleum extracted and the production of greenhouse gasses associated with first-time plastic production. Plus, by using these existing materials, we’re benefiting from the original energy and resources spent to create them in the first place, while diverting waste from the landfill.

Take on toilet cleaning with the Scrub Queen Toilet Brush from Full Circle! Hard Water Stains No More

    stephaniebrandsmawi (verified owner)

Typically, due to the hard water in my city, my toilet begins to have hard water stains after just one week. This brush is able to take care of it alone with a gentle cleaner weekly along with a baking soda treatment every few months. Its wonderful no longer having a yellow line ring around the toilet! Additionally, I enjoy having matching toilet brush & plunger that look beautiful–and that my guests easily can find. The clay base dries out from the water after use, unlike cheap plastic bases. The downside is it is heavy, so if you are prone to things knocking toilet accessories over, I would store in a safe location as it may break.

Does it’s duty on the doody

Cleans well. I love that the brush but is replaceable and I don’t have to get a whole new one. I love how sleek and clean it looks too. The curved bristles are great for getting the top part of the bowl.

This is a well-made product. There is a Dry Earth™ disc in the base that base absorbs water, which helps prevent mold and bacteria, which is a clever detail that I appreciate.
I also purchased this because it has a replaceable head. The bristles are tough and do the job!

    Maybe not done yet

    BC (verified owner)

It looks good and looks like it does online. It seems to be heavy and well made. I have only used it twice and some of the bristles are already starting to come off. I have a new toilet to go with the new brush, so I haven’t had to scrape hard. Hopefully those are the last bristles to fall. I’m glad to have a nice looking option that’s good for the environment.
I also have to comment on the packaging. EVERYTHING was paper. I do appreciate packing the materials with paper rather than styrofoam or plastic. It’s so encouraging that a company that claims to be “eco” backs it up with the right packaging.

    great alternative

    danae.marley (verified owner)

So a while back I bought the full circle bathroom set to replace items broken in a move. The toilet brush was broken yet so I hadn’t even looked. This next move the plastic one finally broke and I went searching for a new one… the environmentalist in me wanted to buy a wooden one but the OCD in me loved that this matched the rest and had a replaceable head so we bought this one. I can honestly way it is great. Still trying to find a sustainable option for the plunger but we have had to issues so far with smell or being dirty.

Much more aesthetically pleasing than my old plastic brush. It feels like decor rather than just a cleaning tool. I love how sustainably sourced its materials are, and it works fabulously.

    Great bathroom tool!

    RADOUGHERTY7 (verified owner)

I have been cheap and only used toilet brushes from the dollar store. This is wayyyy better. I love the cute little holder and the fact it has a replaceable head. I like the little piece that sticks up and gets under the sides of the bowl as well. With just some essential oils and baking soda my toilet is clean within seconds. The only thing is I wish the handle was a tad longer

  12. Question

    Pat Reid

Does the brush reach the bottom of the bowl, under the beginning of the curve? I have a SimpleHuman brush that looks similar, but will not clean the very bottom of the bowl, let alone the curve.

Hi Pat! This brush is ~3.5 inches wide and has differently sized and angled bristles to reach all the nooks and crannies in a toilet!

Hi Brittney, that is a great question. The replacement heads are made of recycled plastic so with the correct recycling facility they can be recycled! We always recommend to check with your local recycling facility to see what they do and do not accept.

  14. Question

    Marisa

Hello! Can the toilet brush handle be disposed of responsibly at the end of it’s life since it’s made of recycled aluminum, plastic, and bamboo (ex. sent back to manufacturer for repurpose/reuse/recycled etc)? Or would the toilet brush handle need to be thrown away at the end of it’s life?

    • EarthHero

      EarthHero (verified owner)

Hi Marisa, this toilet brush handle is made to last years and years- thus saving many plastic toilet brushes in its lifespan! Once it is unusable, the handle itself will need to be landfilled as there is no way to separate the materials in the handle. To even further extend this reusable handle’s life, we like to pair it with the replaceable scrubber head!

    Sturdy and aesthetic

    sacancel99 (verified owner)

I love the aesthetic of this toilet brush. It actually looks nice in the bathroom and I don’t feel the need to hide it like the other regular toilet brushes I’ve had. I haven’t tested the Dry Earth disk, I always let the brush dry before storing it. The bristles are very firm and get into the toilet lip very well.
