Earth Friendly Features
- Ettitude makes their products from organic bamboo lyocell – a soft and sustainable textile that contains no synthetics, rayon, or modal. The lyocell (made from biodegradable and renewable cellulosic plants) is hypoallergenic, odor resistant, prevents the growth of bacteria, and absorbs moisture!
- The fiber yield per acre of bamboo used in lyocell fibers is 10x higher than that of cotton, and cotton requires 10-20x more water than lyocell fibers!
- Ettitude creates lyocell bamboo products using a closed loop manufacturing process, which is different from typical viscose bamboo textiles. The lyocell production utilizes a closed loop system that reuses 99.8% of the non-acidic solvent, and any remaining solvent can be broken down in biological water treatment plants!
- Ettitude is a member of 1% for the Planet, donating 1% of sales towards environmental non-profits worldwide
