Recycled Plastic
Recycled plastic utilizes salvaged post-industrial plastic scraps and post-consumer products such as water bottles and other plastic containers, and transforms them into new products. The containers are sorted, crushed, and then heated to form resins, which are liquid plastics that can harden into new shapes. These resins can be molded and used to create anything from carpet to outdoor furniture. Recycling plastic lowers the amount of petroleum extracted and the production of greenhouse gasses associated with first-time plastic production. Plus, by using these existing materials, we’re benefiting from the original energy and resources spent to create them in the first place, while diverting waste from the landfill.
100% Recycled Content
Recycling is the process of taking an otherwise-discarded item or material and cleaning, sorting, and breaking it down into its basic form (such as fibers or pellets). This material is then used to produce new items. Recycling keeps useful materials from being discarded in landfills, prevents resource extraction due to the creation of new materials, and provides a new life for used items. Recycling can utilize both pre-consumer waste (materials left over from production) or post-consumer materials (used clothing, empty water bottles, etc). This product is made from 100% recycled content.
Did you know that every time you do your laundry, your clothes release hundreds of thousands of microfibers–aka tiny plastic and chemical coated fibers–that eventually end up in our waterways? It's even estimated that NYC alone has 6.8 BILLION microfibers flowing into its harbor each day. Cora Ball knew this problem had to be addressed at the source (us!)–which inspired their easy-to-use laundry ball that catches the microfibers that naturally shed from clothes in the wash. Made from 100% Read Morerecycled plastic, and recyclable after you enjoy it for years, the Cora Ball works by trapping and securing threads in its "spindles" that can be easily cleaned as microfibers collect. Make an impact on ocean pollution with Cora Ball!

I love this! I haven’t had a problem with it so far and I’m happy doing laundry and knowing that this is in there

I’ve used this several times now and it works great. Although it’s hard to tell how the pick up of microplastic fibers is going, if you have pets you’ll find this is a game changer for your clothes! Also, it picks up so much build up lint that may be hiding on your chunky knits – I’m impressed.

I’ve only used this a couple of times, and it didn’t catch much that I can see, but I feel better about having something that might help the environment.

Since micro plastics are t necessarily visit like by the naked eye, I don’t know if this is catching plastics. But it is catching regular fibers and makes me feel good about washing plastic based clothes. I will say, it does try to eat up straps, so I put my strappy clothes in laundry bags and that tends to keep it at bay.

Bigger than what I thought! Was worried my clothes will get tangled in there but nothing did, and I used it for about 2 weeks and caught a lot of fibers.

I have only used it a few times, but it is nice to know that I am able to try and catch at least some of the microplastics in my clothes (I live in an apartment so options are limited). I have already noticed some strands of something in the ball (possibly my dog’s hair, I’m not sure), but at least I know it is catching some things!

I like the idea of this ball and first heard about it from the Earth 911 website so I figured I’d try it since it would be helping my water supply. It’s very easy to use. We just keep it in the washer. Haven’t had to clean it yet since we’ve only been using for a couple of weeks.

I’m so thrilled for these Cora Balls! I will say that I ordered 3 because I was expecting them to be a lot smaller than they were. I’d read that typically you only need one but for larger loads you need 3 so I’m still just going to try using one and go from there. I will keep it in mind to put things in bags so it won’t get caught in these. I had a hard time taking the tag string off of them. lol Not trying to do that after every wash with all my clothes. I’m honestly glad that it catches pet hair which helps it catch the microfibers better! That’s a win win for me! Thanks!

I was skeptical at first, but I’m very pleased with it so far! Definitely put anything that could get caught on it in laundry bags to avoid things getting caught around it!

I haven’t had to pull a lot of plastic out yet, but I know the research is there! It did catch with the loose end of a frayed hand towel I haven’t gotten rid of. Definitely follow the guidelines on the table.

I so far have been very happy with this microfiber ball. I have used it a few times and have seen a few fibers caught up in the “arms” of the ball. I mostly used cool water when washing but when I use the hot water that is when i notice more fibers. Easy to use and clean. Feel good about doing what I can to catch the little fibers.

I have two dogs and our washer was having to be cleaned once a month so it would drain properly. I knew about this product because of it catching microfibers but it really has helped with the dog hair.

I have had the ball for 2 weeks now and I have found a lot of fibers, threads, cat, dog and human hair in the ball just after the second washing. I am also so surprised of the sturdy quality of the ball. Even though I have a septic system I bought the ball to decrease the debris that will not break down in the system and eventually have to be pumped out and find its way into to environment. I recommend this product to everyone!

I have only used the item a few times, but so far have had no issues! Love that there is such an easy way to reduce the number of microfibers/microplastics that end up in our water.
