Best Reusable Filter

Being a former barista, I'm particular about my coffee but I also hate throwing away a paper filter every time I make pourover. I've tried a few reusable filters and this is the best one by far!

Personal Quality Advisory

While I very much appreciate the sustainable aspect of this coffe filter, anyone who really cares about the taste of thier coffee should be aware that this filter is not for you. After following all the filter prepartion steps numerous time, the coffee it produces is consistenly and completely disappointing. The water falls straight through after pouring into the Chemex, not extracting any flavor from the coffee beans, and leaves you with a cup of coffee flavored water. The quality of coffee this filter produces is just nowhere near that of a regular Chemex paper filter.

Hi Andres, thank you for this thorough and helpful review! We have heard that the first use of this reusable filter prompts a rather subdued cup of bean water, but often subsequent uses provide a more robust flavor, typical of your normal experience! This is in part due to the softening of the organic cotton fibers, allowing more of the coffee to pull through over time. In the meantime, we also LOVE this other Chemex filter; still reusable and still earth-friendly :)
