I finally braved up and tried out the cup in small. I can’t tell if it is right for me yet but it did take practice. I would say it was successful for a first time. The pouch comes in handy too. I can’t really compare this one with others since I never used other brands but I did take a quiz to see what size/shape is best for me prior to purchase.

This is my first ever menstrual cup. It’s definitely a learning curve and tbh I think I might be more of a period underwear kinda gal (going to try those next). However, the product seems very good quality and is comfortable. I think I just need a bit more practice with it to get comfortable. I might switch to period underwear for lighter days, but this is definitely a nice option for heavier days.

Great product. This is the first cup I’ve tried and it does take some getting used to. I had a hard time removing the cup because it was difficult for me to reach the stem. After some further research I came to the conclusion that a longer, narrower cup would work better for my body. But I think that’s something each person discovers for themselves when they start using cups. Every individuals body is different so it takes time to figure out your own needs if your not familiar with the position of your cervix.
For anyone struggling with removal, I watched a thousand YouTube videos to help me. First take a deep breath, there is so where for the cup to go but out. You got this. You need to use your muscles to push the cup down until you can grab the stem. Once you have the stem slowly wiggle it side to side as you bring the cup down until you can grasp the base of the cup. Squeeze the base so you can break the seal and then remove. Trust me don’t just try to rip it out, the seal needs to be broken first. So happy I decided to switch to a cup and highly recommend it to anyone considering it.

I am so excited that Earthhero has started carrying Saalt products! I tried my first menstrual cup over a year and a half ago now and bought a Saalt cup from Amazon since Earthhero didn’t carry the brand yet. Since then, I have saved so much money and am so comfortable during my period! I often forget I’m even on my period while wearing these; it takes a lot of stress off of me during that time of the month. There is a learning curve to wearing one, and menstrual cups may not work for certain body types such as tilted uteri or certain shaped hymens, but Saalt is a great fit for a lot of body types and a great starter cup, especially if you think the Diva cup might be the wrong shape for you. I highly recommend for everyone.

The regular size fit well for me (1st time user, never been pregnant, 5’5″ tall). Definitely takes some getting used to, but I appreciate that the Saalt product comes with easy to read/follow instructions and guidance.

it was weird using the cup for the first time, I definitely shouldn’t have bought two, but it worked. no leaks, easy enough to remove and the little bags are pretty cute.

There is definitely a learning curve when you start using a cup, but it is so worth it! It took about 2 days to get used to it, but now I’ hooked! Gone are the days when I have to worry about leaks at work or having a tampon fall out of my pocket. So easy and convenient

Hi! I had a question regarding how you guys color the menstrual cups? Any dyes that may potentially be harmful?

Bean –
How often do you have to buy a new cup?

EarthHero –
Hi Bean! We recommend replacing your menstrual cup if it acquires any rips or tears, but otherwise, 1-2 years is a good marker! The silicone is extremely durable and will last years with proper care!

Decided to give a cup a try during quarantine and I am so glad I did. Not only am I not stressed about going to the store to buy products and generating waste, this cup is so soft and comfortable. There’s a bit of a learning curve but not a big deal at all and they’re not drying the way tampons can be on lighter days. The ethos of Saalt is also great. Highly recommend.

I love this cup. I was using the Diva Cup for about 3 years beforehand and just felt like it was not flexible enough and was uncomfortable. After doing some research, I heard about Saalt and their softer cups. This one has been perfect. I don’t even feel it! It is definitely a trial and error process to find the right cup for you, but the benefits of it lasting 12 hours, of not creating any waste, and of a one-time cost are totally worth it! Helping the environment and helping your own body stay healthy!

I have always been nervous about menstrual cups because they seemed scary to me but I thought I would finally give it a try. I have always loved the idea and wanted to lessen my waste. I am so glad I made the switch. It wasn’t nearly as difficult to insert or remove as I’d feared. There is a bit of a learning curve but it gets easier with use. It is very comfortable and holds a lot of blood. I highly highly recommend this product!!

I did a ton of research before making this purchase and I have to say that I’m sorry I didn’t do it sooner! Once I got used to this new type of menstrual product, I knew that I would never want to have a period without it. I also don’t have to worry about leaks. I got the normal size. Between the cup and Thinx underwear, the amount of trash that I no longer create with traditional period products is astounding.

Question
Michelle –
How do these sizes compare to tampon sizes? (light, regular, super etc.)

EarthHero –
Hi, Michelle! The small size is great for light to normal flow (light/regular tampons) and the regular works well for normal to heavy flow (super/heavy tampons) 🙂

Breezianne –
Is it safe to use with an IUD?
(0) (0) Watch Unwatch
EarthHero –
Hi, Breezianne! Great question- this cup is just as safe to use with an IUD as a tampon or other menstrual product- with the added bonus that it helps to reduce waste by being plastic-free and reusable 🙂

I bought this from target because I didn’t see it on Earthhero for a while, but I really like how it helps me reduce waste. Definitely a learning curve when first using it, but will never go back! I can go through my day with no worry of it leaking and totally forget I’m on my period.
