Recyclable

This product contains recyclable materials. It may be recyclable with curbside recycling collections, but might need to be sent to a special recycling facility. Contact your local waste-hauler or recycling facility for details. Appropriate facilities may not exist in your area.

BPA Free

Products that are labeled as BPA free do not contain Bisphenol A, a chemical commonly found in plastic products. Studies on BPA exposure have shown that high levels of BPA could lead to hormone disruption, effects on behavior and brain function, reproductive problems, breast cancer, heart disease, infertility, and more.

B Corp

The B Lab is a third-party, non-profit organization that certifies companies as socially and environmentally responsible. B Corps are businesses that go above and beyond traditional business models and aim to create positive change in the world through their practices. These companies must meet rigorous transparency and accountablity standards, while doing what is best for people and the environment.

Recycled Plastic

Recycled plastic utilizes salvaged post-industrial plastic scraps and post-consumer products such as water bottles and other plastic containers, and transforms them into new products. The containers are sorted, crushed, and then heated to form resins, which are liquid plastics that can harden into new shapes. These resins can be molded and used to create anything from carpet to outdoor furniture. Recycling plastic lowers the amount of petroleum extracted and the production of greenhouse gasses associated with first-time plastic production. Plus, by using these existing materials, we’re benefiting from the original energy and resources spent to create them in the first place, while diverting waste from the landfill.

About the Company

Preserve

For over 20 years, Preserve has taken the initiative to provide consumers with recycled, sustainable products while encouraging them to recycle their products once they’ve been used. They’ve carefully thought out the life cycle of the plastic they produce, down to the very end (or in this case, new beginning!). When you buy Preserve products you’re making the conscious decision to support recycling–because if you’re not buying recycled products, are you really recycling?

Preserve strides to meet our current needs without compromising the means of future generations. Their results show great progress as a company and as a community–since they began their Gimme 5 Recycling initiative in 2009, Preserve has recycled over half a million pounds of #5 plastic.

    Bristles that actually clean

I have not had good luck with any bamboo toothbrushes I’ve had and I’m not going to try the $10 ones. They always leave behind tons of plaque and the bristles give out so fast. This is my current go-to. It fits in the hand and sits in the mouth well and the bristles actually clean and hold up well.

Love love love these. My gums are sensitive and they don’t bother me at all. Also love that they are recycled and can’t be sent back to be recycled again!
Wish the packaging was a bit better just so I didn’t have to keep the sleeve around until I went to the store. But besides that the brush is great!!

    My teeth feel super clean!

    Jocelyn (verified owner)

The bristles on my toothbrush are super comfortable and, paired my Toms of Maine toothpaste, make my teeth feel super clean after brushing. The plastic head is super comfortable and doesn’t hurt my gums; on the contrary, it feels like its giving them a massage! I am temporarily switching from bamboo toothbrushes because 1) they are expensive 2) it doesn’t make sense for me since I currently am not in a position where composting is available to me. So for now, this is a good alternative for me.
