Paraben Free

Parabens can accumulate in your body, and have been linked to hormonal disruption and reproductive problems. In studies of breast cancer patients, parabens have been found in the tissue of cancerous tumors. If you want to avoid Parabens in your beauty products, keep an eye out for methylparaben, propylparaben, butylparaben, and ethylparaben in the ingredients list.

Sulfate Free
Sulfates are synthetic chemical ingredients commonly used in beauty products and household cleaners, like shampoos and dish soaps. You can usually identify sulfates in an ingredients list by looking out for the most common types: Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLC) and Sodium Laureth Sulfates (SLES). These chemicals, often derived from petroleum, are used to help form the “lather” we’re used to seeing in our beauty and cleaning products. When used in the shower or sink, these chemicals can flow through the pipes and into our waterways. Synthetic sulfates have been linked to allergic reactions, eye and skin irritation, and hair loss, and some studies suggest they contain carcinogenic ingredients.

Great for Hair

I treat my hair with this oil before washing, and wow it helps with tangles after, as well as make it super soft and shiny! Highly recommend.

Amazing

I love this product so much. I’d never used toner before, but the aloe in this really helps with toning down redness and leaves my skin feeling great.

Great, but not what I wanted

I had been looking around for a plastic-free product to help control my hair, and since I like some of Plaine Products' other items, I wanted to give this a shot. However, as with many natural hair products like this, it's far too oily for my hair. (My hair is long, thick, frizzy, and wavy and is naturally on the oilier side.) After I put just a little bit on my freshly washed hair, it looked like I hadn't showered in a week. However, I've found another use for this: In the winter, my hands get painfully dry, and this works wonders on my skin. Instead of lathering up with lotion throughout the day, a couple pumps of this does just as much good (or even better).

Ah-may-zing! I don't want to

Ah-may-zing! I don't want to over-hype this product, but the difference it made in my skin has been incredible (switching from Cerave lotion). I have combination skin with a tendency towards acne, and my skin feels and looks so much better after using this at night. My acne has improved, the drier areas of my face are moisturized, and the oilier areas are more balanced.
