Cruelty Free

Cruelty Free is a certification process through PETA that labels products that are not tested on animals. All companies that are included on PETA’s cruelty-free list have signed a statement verifying that they don’t use ingredients or create finished products that help conduct or pay for any tests on animals.

Phthalate Free

Phthalates are found in toys, electronics, personal care products, plastic wraps, containers, and more. These petroleum based chemicals help soften plastics, and bind fragrances to perfumes, deodorants, creams, and other personal care products. Phthalates are are not chemically bound, meaning they can easily get released into the air, water, or your body, just by using the products as intended. Phthalates have been found to disrupt the endocrine system, which can cause reproductive damage, hormonal imbalances, infertility, mood changes, metabolism changes, and more.

Sulfate Free

Sulfates are synthetic chemical ingredients commonly used in beauty products and household cleaners, like shampoos and dish soaps. You can usually identify sulfates in an ingredients list by looking out for the most common types: Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLC) and Sodium Laureth Sulfates (SLES). These chemicals, often derived from petroleum, are used to help form the “lather” we’re used to seeing in our beauty and cleaning products. When used in the shower or sink, these chemicals can flow through the pipes and into our waterways. Synthetic sulfates have been linked to allergic reactions, eye and skin irritation, and hair loss, and some studies suggest they contain carcinogenic ingredients.

Organic Content

Organic materials and ingredients are grown without the use of chemical pesticides or fertilizers, promoting a healthier use of land and decreasing harmful agricultural runoff. By steering clear of toxic chemicals, farm workers experience less exposure to hazardous conditions, promoting social responsibility as well as environmental stewardship. Choosing organic materials eliminates the use of insecticides and other harmful chemicals, promotes efficient resource use, and results in a safer products and a cleaner planet!

    Not for me

I thought I’d try these in an effort to reduce waste in the bathroom. The taste is just horrible, like salt and baking soda mixed together. They do fizz quite well, which was a surprise to me, but I’ve never tried toothpaste tablets in the past so I didn’t really know what to expect. I don’t feel like they freshen my breath, but I have to say that I have never had a cleaner tongue in my life! Unfortunately I won’t be purchasing these again. I will be using them until they are gone, however, so as not to waste my money, but 2 at a time so that I feel like my teeth are more clean. It was definitely worth a try though. I love the little glass jar, which I will reuse somewhere in my home.

    Awful Taste

I chose spearmint but there is nothing spearminty abou this product. It’s salty tasting due to the baking soda which actually fizzed in my mouth so I felt like it was cleaning. I have been using a different brand that I like better but will continue to use these at work after lunch since I don’t like wasting my money. I did have a clean feeling afterwards but it took a few rinses to get the taste out of my mouth.

They have a not so appetizing taste and don’t feel like your mouth is truly “clean”

Aside from the taste, which terrible, I love these they come in a glass jar which is good for the environment, they’re easy to chew, they do a good job of cleaning your teeth.

    It's OK

    selenalin93 (verified owner)

It foams up really minimally, and if anything, it feels like I’m mostly brushing with saliva. The English Peppermint flavor is nice though, and my teeth do feel clean afterwards. Probably because I use a sonic toothbrush.. I was originally looking for a tab that replaces the Lush version, which foams up nicely and leaves a pretty clean feeling. I’m on the fence about purchasing the refills, but I’ll definitely be using the remaining jar up.

    Worth it

    meganpolk5 (verified owner)

Okay, not a single one of these reviews could prepare me for the taste. Shifting from my nice Colgate to this was like. A physical shock. BUT it foams really nicely, I feel clean and the taste DOESNT remain. As soon as you spit it’s gone! Also, when I received my bottle a bunch of the tablets at the bottom of the little jar were broken/crushed from travel, so I’m thinking I have about 10 or so less uses than it says on the bottle. That was to be expected, I just wish it hadn’t! Aside from the taste (which I’m sure I will get used to with more time), it’s a great product.

    They aren't bad

    Miriam Weekly

I love the taste but I feel like they don’t foam enough and I need two tablets to make me feel like I’m getting my teeth cleaned. I haven’t tried them with my kids yet but since they don’t foam like toothpaste I’m not sure the kids will like them

    Strong baking soda taste

I appreciate the eco factor, but these are very strong tasting. They are refreshing however.
