Cruelty Free

Cruelty Free is a certification process through PETA that labels products that are not tested on animals. All companies that are included on PETA’s cruelty-free list have signed a statement verifying that they don’t use ingredients or create finished products that help conduct or pay for any tests on animals.

Phthalate Free

Phthalates are found in toys, electronics, personal care products, plastic wraps, containers, and more. These petroleum based chemicals help soften plastics, and bind fragrances to perfumes, deodorants, creams, and other personal care products. Phthalates are are not chemically bound, meaning they can easily get released into the air, water, or your body, just by using the products as intended. Phthalates have been found to disrupt the endocrine system, which can cause reproductive damage, hormonal imbalances, infertility, mood changes, metabolism changes, and more.

Sulfate Free

Sulfates are synthetic chemical ingredients commonly used in beauty products and household cleaners, like shampoos and dish soaps. You can usually identify sulfates in an ingredients list by looking out for the most common types: Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLC) and Sodium Laureth Sulfates (SLES). These chemicals, often derived from petroleum, are used to help form the “lather” we’re used to seeing in our beauty and cleaning products. When used in the shower or sink, these chemicals can flow through the pipes and into our waterways. Synthetic sulfates have been linked to allergic reactions, eye and skin irritation, and hair loss, and some studies suggest they contain carcinogenic ingredients.

Organic Content

Organic materials and ingredients are grown without the use of chemical pesticides or fertilizers, promoting a healthier use of land and decreasing harmful agricultural runoff. By steering clear of toxic chemicals, farm workers experience less exposure to hazardous conditions, promoting social responsibility as well as environmental stewardship. Choosing organic materials eliminates the use of insecticides and other harmful chemicals, promotes efficient resource use, and results in a safer products and a cleaner planet!

Sustainable Lifestyle

This product helps promote a more sustainable lifestyle. Whether it encourages re-use and the movement away from disposable products, or it promotes sustainable actions like recycling and composting, this product can help you lower your environmental footprint.

This has a noxious salty flavor that I instantly had to get out of my mouth. Would not recommend.

The powder contains among other ingredients tartaric acid, it is very acidic taste and feeling when applied; concerned I asked my dentist, who advised against it; over time with frequent use it may soften and damage dental enamel. Maybe this product is useful as a cleaning agent for something else, but not teeth.

This was my first attempt of trying tp tabs. There were horrible. I could barely keep brushing the taste was so acidic and unpleasant so now I am wasting a product because I absolutely cannot force myself to use it.

Not worth the actual environmental impact

First and foremost, glass is the most difficult item to recycle in the United States. Aluminum is the easiest and best to recycle. If you can, get your hands on a toothpaste company that offers a recycling program if that is what you’re aiming for by purchasing these tablets.
My daughter and I gave these a go. I can not stress enough how terrible these are for your teeth; maybe not initially, but long term. We have been using them for about a year now. I’ve developed cavities that I did not previously have and the sensitivity associated with the use of these tablets is truly horrendous. By using these continually, and throughout my filling process, I have actually caused such tooth enamel erosion and sensitivity that a simple filling feels twenty times more painful than it ever should have and the lasting effects from the dental surgery are extremely uncomfortable, painful and shrilling.
At first, I thought it was just me. I could NOT figure out why on earth my teeth were killing me and never thought anything of the tablets. It wasn’t until my daughter told me how much some of her teeth began to hurt her that I realized these toothpaste tablets were the culprit.
I would STRONGLY urge anyone looking for a good toothpaste to reconsider this purchase and look into Risewell or Boka with Hydroxyapatite for re-mineralizing purposes.

    Taste is horrible

The Georganics tooth tablets English peppermint reminds me of moth balls. The worse tablet paste I’ve tried. I can’t stand the way they fizzle in my mouth. They have a strong baking soda flavor also. They get super watery and feels like I’m brushing my teeth with just spit they don’t clean very well either. I have to brush longer then 2 minutes. 8-(

These tablets were like alka-seltzer tabs, very fizzy upon dissolving. Not a fan.

    Tea tree flavor

    Ce (verified owner)

I’m not sure if it is this flavor or brand of tooth tabs; however, the tea tree flavor tastes of rancid alien matter, that mildly foams and leaves nothing much as for scrubbing. Maybe another flavor would be helpful – tea tree was a no for me.

These are so bad. I put one in my mouth and instantly it started sizzling(not in a good way) and burning. I don’t know what it is in it but it felt like acid was eating away at my mouth and I couldn’t even brush my teeth.

    bad

    maddy (verified owner)

I initially tried returning it because a bunch of the tablets fell out of the box when it was shipped. I scooped them back in but couldn’t return it. I tried one and the taste is so immediately salty/baking soda. It doesn’t foam or form any viscosity so it doesn’t make your teeth feel clean either. I’ve tried a few other brands but i wouldn’t buy this one again.

They need to redesign their mix.

    Hector (verified owner)

As consumers we NEED to create more demand for these plastic free packaging alternatives. The idea is so good and convenient, especially for traveling. I have tried Bite brand toothpaste bits before, which were great, but wanted to try this brand out since I believe it could be bought with fluoride. I don’t know if it was a bad batch, but I bought the 720 count, and instead of tasting pleasant and minty, it was very salty, with almost sizzling and burning sensations on the tongue. It made me question the safety? Perhaps just an overload of certain ingredients like baking soda and salt mineral, but with nothing pleasant to balance it. I just can’t use it, yuck! I tried contacting both GeoOrganics and Earth Hero via email, I know things get lost in the shuffle, but no response yet. If you are reading this contact me, I am willing to exchange all the unused 710+ pills to see if something was wrong with this batch and maybe try another flavor? I work hard for the money! Cheers!

    YIKES

I was so excited to try this. What a wonderful idea! Biting into the first tablet, I was so unpleasantly startled. Instead of a mild foam developing, all that happened was that I bit into something so sharply concentrated that my nose began to bleed.
HIghly anticipated, but unfortunately utterly unusable for me.

  14. Emily Porter

    Horrible taste

    Emily Porter (verified owner)

I wanted so badly to like this as an alternative to toothpaste in a tube. When I bit into the tablet for the first time it tasted like chewing a salt tablet and made me feel extremely nauseous. It also doesn’t really foam at all so it was like brushing my teeth with salt water. I didn’t get any mint taste at all!

Baking Soda Taste / No clean feeling

    cjkt91 (verified owner)

These tabs taste like a mix of baking soda and salt water. They didn’t make my mouth feel clean either like what I’m used to.. immediately after using it I used “normal” toothpaste. I also wasn’t sure if tabs are supposed to have the texture of only your spit? So I tried to include using water too and all that did was negate ANY trace of spearmint flavor at all. I tried 2 separate times and won’t be using these again.. sad to waste a whole bottle.

If you like baking soda and salt, this toothpaste is for you

    Lisa M Moisan (verified owner)

This toothpaste tastes like baking soda, mint and salt. It’s tough to use and I would not recommend this product. There is no “paste” in the tablet and calling it toothpaste is false advertising. It’s fuzzy and I might as well just use baking soda for a real savings. I am very disappointed in the false advertising.
