Phthalate Free
Phthalates are found in toys, electronics, personal care products, plastic wraps, containers, and more. These petroleum based chemicals help soften plastics, and bind fragrances to perfumes, deodorants, creams, and other personal care products. Phthalates are are not chemically bound, meaning they can easily get released into the air, water, or your body, just by using the products as intended. Phthalates have been found to disrupt the endocrine system, which can cause reproductive damage, hormonal imbalances, infertility, mood changes, metabolism changes, and more.
Sulfate Free
Sulfates are synthetic chemical ingredients commonly used in beauty products and household cleaners, like shampoos and dish soaps. You can usually identify sulfates in an ingredients list by looking out for the most common types: Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLC) and Sodium Laureth Sulfates (SLES). These chemicals, often derived from petroleum, are used to help form the “lather” we’re used to seeing in our beauty and cleaning products. When used in the shower or sink, these chemicals can flow through the pipes and into our waterways. Synthetic sulfates have been linked to allergic reactions, eye and skin irritation, and hair loss, and some studies suggest they contain carcinogenic ingredients.
Organic Content
Organic materials and ingredients are grown without the use of chemical pesticides or fertilizers, promoting a healthier use of land and decreasing harmful agricultural runoff. By steering clear of toxic chemicals, farm workers experience less exposure to hazardous conditions, promoting social responsibility as well as environmental stewardship. Choosing organic materials eliminates the use of insecticides and other harmful chemicals, promotes efficient resource use, and results in a safer products and a cleaner planet!

I prefer getting more mint than fizz and baking soda…it just wasn’t for me

I like this product in spearmint, but the English peppermint was so sour that I couldn’t use it.

My teeth feel crazy clean after using these but I’m not sure I can get used to the salty vinegary flavor to make the switch to this for good. The taste is really awful. These could be great for camping though.

We’ve been using our tablets for a week now. I thought I could get used to the salty, chalky taste, but I think I will be saving these for a “last resort” option or for use during camping/traveling. We definitely don’t hate them, but will not be repurchasing this specific brand in the future.

I was not a huge fan of how much these fizzed up. Felt a lot like putting baking soda in vinegar. I definitely would only recommend if you are a fan of strong flavors

I wish that I read the reviews before buying because I wanted a more sustainable toothpaste option but I was gagging the first time I used it and I am not looking forward to using it again tonight (but I don’t want to waste it so I am stuck with it for a while). Its a terrible taste and my tongue was burning. It feels like I had pure baking soda or something of that nature in my mouth. I’m so disappointed. I gave it two stars because I do love that it comes in a glass bottle and it’s more sustainable and natural, but I will be trying a different brand of plastic-free toothpaste next time.

The first time I tried the tablet, it tastes like SKUNK! So gross. I swore I wouldn’t try them again. My daughter said the first time she tried, it tasted gross too but she said the more you use them, the easier it is. I am undecided if I will try them again. I will be looking for a different brand next time.

When I first put the tablet in my mouth is started to fizz not in a good way then the taste hits and it’s awful. I’ve had to use tube toothpaste to help with the taste but would not order again.
It did come in a glass jar that I will be reusing!

I rarely write a bad review, but I found the taste to be awful. With so many other options available, I would suggest avoiding these. I gave 2 instead of 1 star because I commend their packaging which I prefer to some others.

I like that they come in a glass jar, they’re compact and easy to use, they don’t foam, which I don’t mind, that isn’t an issue. My teeth do feel clean after using them, but the taste is awful. They taste like salt mixed with baking soda. Unfortunately, after using these up (because I hate waste), I won’t order any more.

Doesn’t foam up and very salty. Kinda felt like my teeth were a bit cleaner, but not really

I’ve been using a charcoal toothpaste and noticing positive whitening results but wanted to try something plastic-free. I didn’t mind the texture or consistency of brushing after chewing but the taste is more shocking than other other reviews that say “salty”. I don’t know if its the soda or the tartar, (probably a combination of both and maybe even the citric acid) but it’s rather strong and not in a fun/good way. They make my mouth salivate so much that I have to hang over the sink the entire time I brush so I don’t worry about drooling charcoal all over the place. Perhaps if I tried a minty flavor first, I could work up to these but it’s rather pricey for such a gamble. I keep trying these to convince myself I can get used to it but I’m not sure… These might be good to keep in the car with a brush for camping/emergencies since it’s not a liquid/gel that would easily turn and it doesn’t really to water to “activate”. I wish I liked these better. I love the plastic free mission and the idea of chewable tablets seems nice and easy.

I purchased the English peppermint flavor. Strong but I enjoyed that. I appreciate the attempt at a sustainable option but I don’t plan on continuing to use. I didn’t enjoy that they dissolve when you chew them and then you are supposed to brush. Honestly it feels like you are brushing with spit and that these are not effective because I am not sure how chewing it with my back teeth and them dissolving helps??
I am also concerned that the instructions read “chew 1 table at let it dissolve…For external use only.” For external use only? Are the ingredients not healthy?

I want to love these but they have such a strong backing soda taste. Other than that they are great. I love the texture and they are easy to brush with. I did buy the mint flavor. It is a very suddle taste.
