Nestled in the woods of Gilsum, New Hampshire lives Badger: a small, family-owned, family-run, and family-friendly personal care company that uses the finest organic plant extracts, oils, and minerals in their all-natural skincare. Founded in 1995 by Bill Whyte, a carpenter working in the cold New Hampshire winters, the company is often recognized for its legendary Badger Balm.
A purchase from Badger doesn’t just treat your skin right: it supports the environment, independent farmers, and the small staff over at Badger. They only use ingredients that fit their rigorous standards for healthy agriculture, minimal processing, sustainable supply chain, and of course, benefits for your skin. When possible, they source USDA Certified ingredients, with classics like their balms being 100% USDA Organic. Badger combines years of tradition and research with lots of time, effort, and love to create products naturally rich in powerful antioxidants and vitamins.
Badger is more than just talk. They’re proud to be a certified B-Corp, meeting rigorous third-party standards at every aspect of production and manufacturing. The “Badgers” have one mission: to create fabulously pure and effective products made from the highest natural quality, based on simplicity and thoughtful preparation–not chemicals and toxins. They believe that business should be fun, fair, and profitable; where money is fuel, not a goal.

This works really well, better than most other shave soaps I’ve tried, and it takes very little to create lather so it will last a long time. It doesn’t clog my razor and provides a nice clean shave with no irritation.

I love this shave soap! It goes under the arms, on the legs and even between the legs (outside only!) and provides a silky surface for my razor to glide over. Highly recommend.

This soap smells absolutely amazing, AND it made shaving so smooth. I only got one tiny cut on my leg opposed to the 3-4 I would normally get.

I bought this for my partner who hates shavings is face, yet hates having facial hair. I knew he would like shaving more if he had a product that protected his skin better. Sixth months later, he’s shaving more often than he did before without having to worry so much about his sensitive skin.

I was using regular old soap for a while to shave (trying to be eco-friendly) and this works way better. Very smooth. I find the bar much more “aesthetic” than a can of shaving cream too.

I recently switched to a safety razor. This makes it easy for the razor to glide over my skin. It smells great too!

Question
Richard –
Can the shaving soap be used with an electric shaver?

Admin EarthHero –
Hi Richard! Though most electric shavers can be used dry and sans soap, if you like adding soap in, this one should work wonderfully. It lathers and moisturizers all at once!

I recently switched to a safety razor but I couldn’t get that close shave that I used to be able to get with a disposable razor. When I tried this soap I got a perfect shave! This stuff is so smooth and lovely!

I just started the journey of a low impact life. While some people are okay with not shaving I am not one of those people. This product is easy to use and didn’t seem to clog my razor or leave a residue.
