Superior sound, sustainably crafted.
Since its creation, House of Marley has been about bringing high quality design, build, and audio performance to customers who want low-impact, sustainable products by thoughtful companies. Not only do they use a number of post-consumer and upcycled materials, but they have joined forced with One Tree Planted and the Forest Stewardship Council to combat deforestation globally.
While the materials are chosen for their sustainable properties and unique aesthetics, they also have amazing mechanical capabilities, making it one of the most forward thinking technology companies out. Each item is designed to have the longest possible battery life, using the smallest amount of energy. They are never satisfied, and continue to innovate every day, aiming to recycle or upcycle materials to find new solutions.

These are nice aesthetically, but the kind of flimsy silicone pieces don’t stay in my ears (perhaps I’m using the wrong size) and are hard to clean. More importantly, the sound is quite bad. Speech is sibilant. Bass notes are almost imperceptible (I’m not looking for enhanced bass, but I seriously can’t hear it in some songs). Overall, the sound is quite tinny. I don’t enjoy using these for either podcasts or music.

I love that EarthHero has these! I’m falling in love with the House of Marley company and EarthHero more and more every day. My review is great for the headphones except that I had to order a special cable thingy to connect the headphones to my Iphone but that’s technically my phone’s fault lol
I ordered the Little Bird ones too just so I could compare both products and see which one I liked moreso so I’ll update the post as I keep deciding.
I thought I’d take a minute to praise EarthHero’s customer service here too. EH accidentally mailed me the wrong headphones but quickly responded when I called to inform them of the problem. Then they quickly mailed me the correct ones. Very professional and apologetic and just awesome! Thanks so much!

The sound is good. I got these new and there does not appear to be any damage to the headphones. Maybe it’s because of the fabric sheathed cable but for whatever reason, the earbuds are constantly delivering little shocks directly into my ears. I can keep them in if I’m careful not to let the cable rub against my clothing.

Hey there! Ouch! That doesn’t sound fun at all. We’ve heard that this is more common in the winter when the air is more dry and clothing has more static-electricity. This is more likely when wearing sweaters or any polyester work out gear, but cotton tops shouldn’t cause the same issue. Let us know if it keeps happening!

Question
RM –
Does it have plastic parts?

Admin EarthHero –
Hello!
The Smile Jamaica earbuds do have plastic parts–the microphone and the strain relief and plug. The strain relief plugs are made from partially recycled post-industrial materials, and the mic housing is made from a stronger virgin plastic. Also, the earbuds are made out of a silicone based material.
Hope that helps!

I’m assuming they are for smart phones? iMacs? iPhones? iPads?

Hi Kathy – These earbuds will work with all of your devices except iPhone 7, 8 and X. You’ll need the small converter cable that comes with these devices, or can also be purchased separately.

I just tried these ear buds that I order from Earthhero. They are great . They have a sound quality that is better than some more expensive ear buds I normally use to listen. As I said they are great
