Goddess Garden

Environmentalists and outdoor enthusiasts Nova Covington and Paul Halter grew up experiencing the power of nature. Eventually straying from the woods of Oregon and British Columbia, Nova and Paul realized the importance of continuing this passion when their first daughter, Paige, was born. After finding out Paige was allergic to harsh chemicals traditionally used in skin care products, they set out to find a safe and natural skincare solution that would allow Paige the freedom to play outdoors as they had. Nova's herbalist background, and Paul's nutrition science degree lead them to use natural, safe ingredients like zinc oxide and titanium dioxide as sun protection.

Together, Nova and Paul have grown their necessity into a trusted natural skincare brand, Goddess Garden. Founded on two principles, Goddess Garden aims to help the planet, and help people safely enjoy the sun.

Skin Safe, Planet Safe

It's not surprising that health for your body can mean health for the planet, too. Goddess Garden began out of the need for safe, healthy sun care, but quickly morphed into an all around eco-brand. Goddess Garden only uses ingredients that are certified cruelty free, as well as plant and mineral based. Because of this, their formulas are not only safe for skin, they're also biodegradable and safe for coral reefs. Each formula contains at least 70% organic ingredients and is certified by NSF/ANSI 500, and is free from hormone disrupting chemicals like oxybenzone and octinoxate. They even make sure each formula is free from phthalates and parabens, so each formula is scented with natural essential oils. But, Goddess Garden makes sure you don't just need to take their word for it. By becoming a certified B Corp, Goddess Garden is third party certified to put the planet first. B Corp vets businesses to make sure they meet strict social and environmental standards, helping to redefine successful business. Last but not least, Goddess Garden makes sure to share the love. Each year, they get employees together to vote on which nonprofits they'll donate to that year. From organizations local to Boulder, Colorado, Goddess Garden's home base (and EarthHero's!), to national organizations like Relay for Life and the American Cancer Society, Goddess Garden supports a variety of social and environmental causes.
